Sport Room Window Treatment

Sport Jersey Window Treatment
Quick, easy and inexpensive solution to a boys bedroom window. I picked up the jerseys at the resale shops and hung them on a carpet cardboard tube- cut down to fit the window. The tube is about 5 inches round so it gives the jerseys fullness at the top to give a more dimensional look. Note: the plastic locker is given a second purpose by attaching a pre-cut round laminate top to make it a great table- and the stools are another thrift find- jazzed up by adding denim to the seats for durability and style.

BOOKS... USE THEM OR LOSE THEM

Books- yep we all have them. Personally I love to decorate with my books. I even made a library in my home- complete with a tag sale wooden ladder I picked up for only $3. But if you are overwhelmed by your book piles and don't plan to use them in your decor- then I suggest you lose them- at least some of them.
I found this great website that pays you for your books- plus THEY pay for the s/h.
So check it out - make some extra $$$ and buy what you really want or need for your home!

Photography

You already know about this one- photos- but don't forget about other's photography! Check out the link on this page to see many beautiful photos that can be printed and framed. Also remember to frame those gorgeous sunset photos you took on vacation this summer. Add instant personality to any room with photos! And remember- don't spend a fortune on the frames- they can always be found at garage sales for under a dollar each- so stock up on them when you see them- even if the color isn't right- for a few dollars for a can of spray paint- they can all match!!
Square Wicker & Tin Tissue Holders:
We all have them and they can picked up inexpensivly at thrift shops so drag yours out from under the bathroom sink and USE it! How?? Just turn it upside down and put a potted plant in it- or if you are horticulturally challenged like me... use artifcial plants for a spruced up- innovative decor touch. They add texture and interest to an otherwise mundane look. The square shape is more interesting than the typical round shape.
